We are incredibly pleased with the work Cumbria Home Renovations have just done for us, transforming our back yard and outbuilding completely. We contacted Cumbria Home Renovations during the winter about converting our small outbuilding into a sun room and renovating our back yard, including a new shed, render of all walls, lighting and a new artificial turf area.
Simon came to see us within a day or two of contacting him - he turned up on time which was a good sign, and all the different contractors on the job continued to turn up on time every single day throughout the project. Simon understood exactly what was needed, and today as we look at the finished project it is if anything even better than I had hoped. Communication was handled by Clare and was absolutley brilliant - we had a quote which detailed exactly which work was covered at what cost. During the project a few items occurred - either suggested by us or by Simon - and we had quotes for exact products like external and internal lighting, render type and colour etc.
Everyone who worked on the project worked really hard - Grant put in some 10 hour days on the walls - really friendly and always explaining what they were doing. The whole job has gone very smoothly from the beginning, and if it has taken a few more weeks more than we thought, it's well worth it - and in comparison to the last firm we talked to, who took four moths just to give us a pencil sketch of the plan, Cumbria Home Renovations have been miraculous!

From the moment Simon came to give us a quote we knew we were in safe hands. We wanted a full house renovation and on a very limited timescale.
We had a full electric re-wire, a new centeral heating system, plastering, new bathroom, new kitchen, flooring, carpentry and decorating. Simon arranged it all from start to finsih taking all the headache away from us.
He has contacts all over the building trade so if he doesn't do it (there's not much him and his team can't do) he arranges for someone else to do it.
The work was completed on time, as he promised, on budget AND the standards of every single tradesman was A1.
Something else worth mentioning too is that Simon was always availiable to field any queries we had, either on the phone or by email. We found this to be incredibly reassuring!
We know that if we have any problems in future Simon or one of his team will be able to fix them and we wouldn't use anyone else.

I was contacted by Mr and Mrs Haynes via my web page. I intially went through to meet them to talk through their needs and requirements for the refurbishment. I always go around to the customer, write down what they require, throw some ideas around and put it all down on paper so there's no hidden extras etc. Working with both of them over the 7 week period I truly found it to be a pleasure and very satisfying seeing their home come together. The hotel boasts 94 bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, LCD televisions with freeview, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers.
Cumbria Home Renovations were brought into the hotel to fully refurbish the front of the property, second floor which consisted of 16 single rooms knocked into 8 King rooms with built in en-suites king sized beds and modern furnishings.

Last year I asked Simon to quote the Crown & Mitre Hotel to convert some bedrooms and make them into Club Rooms. Simon came back with a good price and took the job on. Over the last year SJD have converted 10 bedrooms and store cupboards into 7 fantastic Club rooms, although its not been an easy task Simon has always stayed calm and kept going even when the going got tough, SJD just got tougher.
I would recommend SJD for an electrical or conversion works need doing.

This has been an on-going project for the last 13 months, there are still rooms to be renovated but I am very proud to be working at the Crown and Mitre, renovating the top floor and find it very satisfying seeing the end result.
